Late TikTok star Tucker Genal's younger brother, Connor Genal, broke his silence following his death.
"Most of you know by now, that my brother Tucker has passed away," Connor began in an emotional TikTok video on Thursday, December 18, one week after Tucker's passing. "We are not blaming anyone. There is no one to blame for this. I blame myself. I blame myself every day, and I will for the rest of my life."
Connor added through tears, "He was my brother, and I let him down. I should have been there."
As Parade was first to report, Tucker took his own life on Thursday, December 11. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Tucker's cause of death was hanging.
"I didn't want to make this video at all. We started doing videos because it was fun, and it made people happy," Connor continued. "I don't want to change that now. I don't want to make this sad video. He was an amazing brother and one of the kindest people I've ever met. And I want to try to be that same way."
Connor kindly asked fans and followers to respect their family's privacy during this "incredibly difficult time."
"We're just regular people. None of us know how to handle this situation," he added before announcing he's taking a social media break.
Connor and Tucker's third brother, Carson Genal, previously shared a tribute post to his late brother via Instagram.

"You were my best friend and an even better big brother, my entire life I’ve spent looking up to you and trying to follow in your footsteps because you were always my hero," he wrote alongside a series of photos with the late influencer. "I know one thing is for certain and that is that I will continue to spend the rest of my life looking up to you until we meet again. You were the kindest person I’ve ever met and the greatest brother that anyone could have ever asked for."
Tucker was 31 years old.
