Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are back in the same legal loop, but a truce is being floated. “Ten years of fighting is long enough,” an insider said, as both eye a finish line. Jolie and Pitt’s divorce was finalised in December 2024, yet their legal battle continues. Now, the “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” co-stars are said to be weighing a settlement path. That could mean fewer hearings and more quiet paperwork. For now, their winery battle keeps generating filings.

As per a Closer Online report dated February 17, 2026, one insider said, “2026 needs to be the year,” the legal battle should come to a stop. The winery battle dates back to February 2022, after Angelina Jolie sold her stake to Stoli’s wine unit.

The source said, “Ten years of fighting is long enough,” and everyone involved in the case is getting older. They continued, “Both sides have made their points,” adding, “This has to stop in the next twelve months.” The insider also said, “It’s time to find a compromise.” Then, “put this whole thing to bed.” They called it “no matter how uncomfortable that may be in the short term.”

However, the legal mechanics are still moving in the background. In December 2025, People reported a judge ordered the “Maleficent” actress to turn over “unredacted” communications tied to Miraval. “The Court orders Jolie to produce in full, within 45 days,” the court document read. “We’re disappointed by the court’s interpretation,” her attorney, Paul Murphy, stated. “We will appeal,” he added. Even so, discovery deadlines keep the matter active.

Meanwhile, the stakes stay bigger than paperwork, including public reputation and business control. Jolie and Pitt share six children, and the youngest, twins Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 this July.

On the work front, Jolie recently headlined “Maria” and is reportedly set to star in “Sunny.” On the other hand, Pitt also had a recent high-octane sports drama hit “F1”. He is also linked to a “Cliff Booth” follow-up to “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”. Ultimately, any truce would let Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt refocus on work, not filings.
