Friday afternoon, Black Sabbath rock star Glenn Hughes took to social media to share saddening news. After months of anticipation, Hughes had to unexpectedly cancel his U.S. tour dates due to a minor health issue.
Hughes announced his Spring 2026 tour in October. The show was set to stop in twenty-five cities across the U.S., preforming a lifetime worth of music from Glenn's career. Fans were ecstatic, since the last time Hughes toured in the U.S. was back in late 2024.
Hughes, 74, has immensely contributed to both the rock and roll and heavy metal genres. During his career, he has been a part of several famous rock bands, some of which include Trapeze, Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath. His talent as a bassist and a vocalist has helped to shape the rock music space, and in 2016, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Regarding the cancellation, Glenn's team posted a statement to Instagram.
"We regret to inform you that due to a minor health issue that requires his attention over the upcoming months, Glenn Hughes has made the difficult decision to cancel his 2026 USA Tour."
Hughes also gave a personal statement attached to the post.
"I'm taking advice from my medical team team, who I am working closely with. Hoping to see you on the road of happy destiny."
Due to the unexpected cancellation, Hughes and his team confirmed that all tickets, including those with a VIP upgrade, will be eligible to receive full refunds.
